Health Services

Soowahlie and Cheam Indian Band are in a joint partnership to service the health program for each nation with the First Nations and Inuit Health Branch. The program consists of the Community Health Nurse, Community Health Representatives, NNADP Worker, Youth & Culture Worker and an Elder's Coordinator.

Health Services includes the following: Health Services Program; Brighter Futures; Building Healthier Communities; Canada Prenatal Nutrition Program; National Native Alcohol and Drug Abuse Program; Management and Support and Administration.

Additional Programs require individual proposals and administration. To date, the Health Services are offering the Aboriginal Diabetes Initiative Program and the Kindermusik for both nations.
